A Diamond Dust canvas is a photo canvas finished with a fine glitter layer that catches the light. The sparkle sits on selected areas of the image rather than across the whole surface, so it shifts as you move past it instead of reading as one flat glittery block.
What it is, in one paragraph
Your photo is printed onto canvas, then a fine, diamond-like glitter is applied over chosen areas of the print — typically a dress, a background, snow, water, or the edges of a subject. Under direct light it sparkles; in flat light it reads as a normal canvas with a slight shimmer. It is a finish, not a filter: nothing about the underlying photo changes.

Which photos suit it
The finish works by picking out one thing. It looks best where there is an obvious candidate:
- Weddings and christenings. A dress or veil is the classic use, and the most requested.
- Occasion and party photos. Sequins, jewellery and lights already carry highlights for the glitter to sit on.
- Night and city shots. Streetlights and reflections respond well.
- Snow and water. The glitter reads as natural sparkle rather than as an effect.
It works less well on a very dark photograph, where there is nothing for the light to catch, or on a busy image with no single subject, where the sparkle has nowhere obvious to go. If you are unsure about your photo, send it to us and we will tell you honestly before you order.

How to look after it
Dust it gently with a dry, soft cloth. Do not use cleaning sprays or a damp cloth on the glittered areas. Hung normally indoors it needs nothing else.
Common questions
Does the glitter come off?
Not in normal use. It is sealed onto the print rather than loose on the surface. Handle it as you would any canvas and avoid rubbing the glittered areas.
Can I choose which parts sparkle?
Yes. Tell us in the Special Requests box when you order — for example "sparkle on the dress only" — and we will apply it there.
Can I see it before it is made?
We can send a preview of the print itself. The sparkle is a physical finish, so it cannot be fully shown on a screen — it is worth knowing that a photo of a Diamond Dust canvas never quite does it justice.
Is it the same as a glitter canvas?
